Why Open Platform?

The Ivory Series Open HMIs are “open platform” operator interfaces that employ the Microsoft® Windows® XP Embedded or Windows® CE.NET^TM operating system. The Ivory Series are uniquely positioned in the HMI market, offering advanced features that were formerly available only in full-scale industrial computers yet at a much lower cost usually associated with traditional proprietary HMIs.

Open platform operator interfaces should be considered in industrial applications that require:

●   Custom software development that runs on the Windows® CE.NET^TM
        or XP Embedded environment

●   3rd party off-the-shelf software with features not typically available in
        standard industrial automation software

●   Ability to run multiple applications simultaneously (with XP)

●   Web-based features such as a browser, web server and remote Internet access (with CE)
